Class of 1982 Allan is an exhibit designer and art director for many world-class zoo and aquarium projects. He coordinates the work of large and diverse crews comprised of professional artists, specialty contractors, and laborers. He is currently the Director of Exhibits and Production at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland. Exhibit
highlights include the Amazon
River Forest and Venom:
Striking Beauties.
To highlight his contributions to the Cincinnati Zoo's
naturalistic habitat exhibits, he had an article entitled
"Master of Imagination" published in the Cincinnati Enquirer.
The American Zoo and Aquarium Association gave him the 1994
Best New Exhibit Award for Jungle
Trails, an exhibit at the Cincinnati Zoo.
In 1988 he received two prestigious awards from the National
Nature and Wildfowl Art Show in Dayton, Ohio.
Allan also freelances in projects involving natural history
book illustrations, photography, and sculpture.
