Class of 1953 Barbara has
been a key spokesperson and strong advocate for U-High for many
years. To ensure that
the high standards of U-High would continue, she had a dream to
build a strong University High School Alumni Asso-ciation.
With Barbara's help, the Alumni Association became a reality
in 1996. Barbara has
been an officer on the Alumni Association Board since its inception
and has relentlessly promoted positive relationships with U-High
alumni. Barbara can
also take pride in helping develop the fall alumni recognition event
held each year in conjunction with U-High's homecoming.
This event has been popular with a wide range of alumni, from
current students to graduates from the 1930s.
Barbara recently retired from teaching at University High
School.
