Update:
We moved back to Normal from Urbana after I finished graduate school in 1990.  I have been at ISU for the past 10 years as an associate professor of animal science.  I teach courses in animal science, animal behavior, environmental studies and one course in interdisciplinary studies.  My research focuses on applied ethology and animal welfare.

We spend most of our spare time on home repairs and helping the kids take care of their animals (a dog, cat, hamster, guinea pig and two Holland lop rabbits).  We purchased an older home on Broadway in Normal about five years ago.  We really like living in an older neighborhood with lots of trees, front porches, big yards and home repairs.

During the summer we enjoy traveling to meetings that I have to attend. We usually stop to visit state and national parks along the way.  We have visited 36 states and two Canadian provinces in the past six years -- all by car.  We are still waiting for an opportunity to drive to the Pacific northwest and Alaska.

Favorite memories from your days at U High: Mr. Surma's science seminar, Avanti's pizza bread, Tab soda from the U-High vending machine, Kistner's garage, and many good friends.

How many miles will you travel to this reunion? Approximately 3 miles (round trip).
