Address: 1613 W. Fairfield Ct. Phone: (309) 454-2494 E-mail:AprilFools95@prodigy.net Occupation: Stay-at-home Mom Marital Status: M Spouse's Name: Ray (he's my ray of hope, my ray of light :) His occupation: Data base systems administrator
at State Farm Insurance Children and ages: Stephanie (b 8/25/95) and twins Ryan and Brittany (b 6/16/97). We are just gearing
up to start school. It should be exciting. I
can't believe that my kindergarten classmates are in my life
just as my oldest starts kindergarten herself! Life is
interesting, isn't it? Hobbies and Interests: I am a die hard CUBS fan. I really have a lot of hope for them this year. Go CUBS!!! :) Personal / Professional Achievements: I have taken the long way around to get back to where I am today. I have had a lot of different jobs, from waitressing, nurse's aid, etc. I was in the USAF for 4 years as a Doppler Radar Navigation Systems Specialist. I worked on the navigation systems for H-3 and H-53 helicopters, and C-130 cargo planes. Places I've lived. Texas, New Mexico, Mississippi, Missouri, and finally back to good old Normal, IL. I came back to Illinois and graduated with honors from ISU with a degree in Applied Computer Sciences. Then came a programming job at State Farm. I met the man of my dreams and now am very happily married and a stay-at-home mom to our three wonderful kids- I have been keeping busy volunteering and received the volunteer of the year award from PATH (a crisis and referral line). My favorite high school memories are from marching band and the football games, and the time I got the highest grade in some math class (trig?) and Mr. Briggs asked the class to guess who had the highest grade and it was me! :) (Nobody guessed me.) I also got second place in a math contest at the University of New Mexico that was open to all the freshman class - missed first place by a hair. It was fun. My favorite all time college class was calculus. Words of Wisdom: Let go and let God. He has wonderful things in store for us if we can just get past our own will and let His will be done. Try to see the face of Jesus in the people you meet. Remember that he was born in a borrowed manger and buried in a borrowed tomb. He sent his disciples forward to share his word relying on the generosity of others for everything and taking nothing with them except for their clothes on their backs. Never hesitate to help someone who is down and out. It is a most rewarding feeling to know that you made such a big difference to somebody's life. They will never forget it. Also, think about organ donation, and let your family know your decision. You never know who's life you might be saving. Okay, okay, I'll quit preaching! :) |
