Kathty Comfort

Photo - Kathy ComfortEmployer: University of Arkansas, Fayetteville

Occupation: Assistant Professor of French

My goal in life is to civilize business students, especially the ones
who don't see why they have to study a second language and who think the
humanities are a waste of time. One of the accomplishments I am most proud
of is being able to find something about French civilization and language
that will interest the most difficult student. Vive la France!

Marital Status: Single

Education and Degrees: Ph.D. (French Language and Literature), University of Kansas

Address: 2273 N. Mockingbird Lane, Fayetteville, AR 72703

Phone with area code: (479) 973-0987

Hobbies and Interests: Hiking, walking my dogs, visiting France, reading.

I am a total ebay addict. This year I plan to do all my Christmas
shopping there. Of course, I can stop any time...

 Photo - Basque Country

Basque Country, my favorite region of France.

If anyone wants to find wonderful, inexpensive, independently-owned hotels in France, let me know. There is so much to see outside Paris--the
real France is not to be found in the big cities!

Many more photos of France are posted on my web page. Click here.

My dogs were both "adopted" from a no-kill shelter here in Fayetteville.
It's sort of been my crusade to get people to adopt abandoned animals
instead of going to a petstore or a breeder. It's disgusting that we in
Arkansas failed to make animal cruelty a felony in the election last week.

Great Achievements: Never losing faith that I would find my dream job.

Wors of Wisdom: Avoid negativity! With a positive attitude and perseverance you can do anything.

Favorite memory or song from your days at U High: Marching band and concert band practice.

The end of the year party of the French Section at UA. No, we weren't drinking Coors light.
