Update 5/02:

Lori, Lindsey and I are still here in Missouri and enjoying spring. I spent last academic year in DC on a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation health policy fellowship and I worked for Sen. Tom Harkin. Jim C. and I got to spend some, but not enough, time having fun around DC. But, now it is back to academia; not as exciting, but it's good to be home. Lindsey is completing her junior year at MU and will be spending the summer in Costa Rica (for the second time).

Employer: University of Missouri at Columbia

Occupation: Associate Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Marital Status: Married

Spouse's Name: Lori

Spouse's Occupation: After 11 years of freelance copy editing, Lori is taking a break from work and exploring other career options.

Children and ages: Lindsey, age 19

Education and Degrees:
B.A. Psychology, ISU
PhD, University of Alabama at Birmingham, Clinical Health Psychology

Personal / Professional Achievements: Being happily married and having a wonderful daughter. Lindsey is an honor student at MU who has traveled to Europe and Costa Rica. Her parents have never been out of North America (is that fair?). I didn't place last at the 1999 National Age Group Triathlon Championship.

I started a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellowship in Washington, DC in September. In a few weeks, I'll join a congressional office to work on health care issues. DC is filled with opportunities to learn and play, but Lori stayed back in Columbia so it can be a bit lonely here. I get home as often as I am able.

Words of Wisdom: Be nice to people, especially your classmates, because one of them might marry your sister!

Favorite memory or song from your days at U High: Winning a doubles match in tennis against one of the bigger schools in Peoria (who was my partner?). Joe Jackson, "Is She Really Going Out With Him?"

How many miles will you travel to this reunion? 300
