Hobbies and Interests: Music, Theatre, Skiing, Sailing, Weight Training, Nature Hikes, Scuba Diving, Travel, Foreign Language and Culture. Great Achievements (Small and Large): Two days after graduating from U-High in 1980 I hopped in my car and drove to San Diego not knowing a soul. It was a very exciting time and I knew I wanted to live in this active sunny part of the states. I had even been accepted as an in-state resident to attend San Diego State University. (For those of you who paid for your own college tuition, you will understand when I say this status was much more affordable!) I continued on the "Six Year Plan" which I started in Pre-Med and then at the end of my fourth year changed to Businesses Administration. (Okay, so I was a little slow). In that time I did everything from make pizzas at Godfather's Pizza, Modeling, Acting, taught co-ed aerobics, and became a medical technician for several prominent Hospitals. Needless to say, I was a very busy boy! After graduating from college and intending to hit the pavement to look for a job....I decided it was the perfect time to head to Europe for 4 months...what the heck! So off I went on an amazing adventure with not enough money in my pocket. Well I made it via Iceland (Iceland Air) with a stop over in Rekyevic! Way cool! And then meandered through all of Western Europe with extensive stays in Italy and the Greek Isles. What an wonderful experience that was! The travel bug had me and it wasn't going to let go. When I returned back to the states the strangest thing happened but, I was approached by a Cruise Company to assist them in creating an on-board exercise program. I said yes and off I went to establish what is now known as "Cruisercise" with Princess Cruises. Next thing I knew I was Cruise Director leading the entertainment and passenger portions of cruises for the line. I did this for 14 years!! During this time I went around the world over 30 times and have been to every continent and major port city there is including Dakar and Kota Kinabalu!! Truly an amazing time was had and the many, many people I met on my journey have made me so thankful for the life I have been able to lead. Two years ago, I decided it was time to get down to business and make a life on land. So, I figured Real Estate would be a good option...what the heck again! And here I am back in the city I love, doing something interesting that pays the bills and allows me to go to my own home at night. (What a concept!) So, in a nutshell, that is what I have been up to since May of 1980. Who would've known? Words of Wisdom: Always follow your dreams and believe in yourself. Favorite memory from your days at U-High: Smoking with Shannon Bunke in my Mom's car between classes...Bad, bad, bad! (Stopped that habit finally), Hay Rack rides in the fall. |
