Shannon Roberts (Bunke)

Update 5/02:

Everything here is pretty much the same, except my eldest (Brandon 18 yrs. old) is getting ready to go off to the university. He got accepted to Stanford, Yale, Princeton and is on the waiting list at Harvard. Not to brag, but I am extremely proud of him. He hasn't made up his mind yet, but needs to by Monday. Earl is fine, running like a chicken as always. As for me, well nothing earth shattering just day to day life with children.

Employer: Self-employed

Spouse's Name: Earl Roberts

Spouse's Occupation: Customsbroker/ CPA

Children and ages: Brandon 18, Christopher 12, Nicole 8, Paul 6

Hobbies and Interests: We like to snow ski, go boating, we go to Mexico all the time (usually to the beach) and whenever I get a spare moment (very rarely) I like to read a good book. We also travel quite a bit.

Professionally: I worked in real estate for 6-7 years. I took a break when Nicole and Paul were born. Now, I'm running a trucking company , which takes about 1 hour of my day, so it works out really well.

A quick review of my past 20 years: After I graduated, I attended ISU. I then moved to San Diego, where I started working and attending San Diego State University. I met my husband while working, and married in April, 1989. My husband was born and raised in Mexicali, Mexico , so when the opportunity to take over his Grandfather's business across the border from his hometown arose he took it. We've been here 11 years . We live in the desert. Its 110-120 degrees already. Just a bit warm......But, we have San Diego 2 hours away and the mountains close by, so when its too unbearable, we can escape. My children go to school in Mexico, so most of my day is spent driving back and forth across the border. I knew my Spanish classes would come in handy someday!!!!

And, like everyone else, there are the extracurricular activities. My oldest son is involved in football and wrestling, Christopher (my artist) in piano and swimming, Nicole loves horses and is taking lessons now, and Paul , well , he's enjoying being a 4 year old. Anyway, I'm really looking
forward to seeing everyone. See you in July!!!!!!!

Words of Wisdom: Enjoy every minute with your kids, they grow up sooooooooooo fast.

Favorite memory from your days at You High: Great friends, football games, dancing & singing to Barbara Streisand, crashing into a cornfield in my dads station wagon with about 10 friends stuffed in the car. The "BBB club". Really , too many memories to list.......

How many miles will you travel to this reunion? 1808 to be exact...
