Key Club rakes leaves for good cause

As the seasons are changing and all of the trees are becoming bare,
Key Club members volunteered their time to clean up the fallen
foliage. About 15 Key Club members showed on Saturday November 15 to
partake in the fourth annual leaf raking at Doris Cropp and
neighbor’s houses.

Large gym complications cause blood drive to
reschedule

Because of the large gym construction, the annual fall blood drive
held at U-High was rescheduled. Assistant Principal Steve Wilder
said U-High’s back up plan which was the small gym couldn’t house
the blood drive because the P.E. classes wouldn’t have a place to
have class.

U-High students sweep peace essay

English teacher Kathy Clesson challenged her students last month
when she had them enter the YWCA’s 8th annual peace essay
contest. The essay contest goes along with YWCA’s national campaign
of the Week Without Violence, which emphasizes alternatives to
violence and racism.
