So King Arthur and Merlin went to go see a hermit to get healed from previous battles. He gave him some good medicine to heal his wounds.  After his wounds were healed then he asked Merlin where I can get a weapon to fight with. Merlin said I know where I can get you a weapon.  So Merlin takes King Arthur to this lake and there is this all white lady in the water and her name was the Lady of the Lake. King Arthur asks can he have a sword and she tells him if I tell you where to get it you have to do a favor for me. He accepts the request and goes to get the sword in the middle of the lake. After retrieving a weapon he was now ready to fight Sir Pellinore. Then Merlin says no to this fighting because Sir Pellinore will become indeed a great need for you in the future. So later after walking down the road Merlin asks King Arthur another question and the question was if he preferred to use the sheath or the sword. King Arthur replies with the sword so now Merlin knows that he did not change his mind. When Merlin realized this he had to take action fast because Sir Pellinore was riding up the same road they had been on. Merlin is also a magician so Merlin used his magical powers to make King Arthur say nothing to Sir Pellinore so that they would not fight.
