Dynamite (Tiffany Noelle Thetard)

  Who am I?

Swimming, theatre, and a high school senior are many words that describe me, Tiffany Thetard. I am a senior at University High School in Illinois. At U-High I am involved in many extra-curricular activities including swim team, math club, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, theatre, Thespian, and many more. I have dedicated most of my life to swimming and teaches others how to swim. Through swimming I have accomplished many fantastic goals and learned many great lessons for the future. When I am not at swim practice I am busy babysitting, in musicals or plays, and spending time with my friends. My senior year has been dedicated to finding a college and studying for three Advanced Placement exams. After taking the college tour of a life-time, 15 colleges in four states in one week, I came to the conclusion that Hope College in Holland, Michigan was the place for me. I plan to double major in Bio-Chemistry and Education to someday do children's research. Prior to leaving for college, I will be busy lifeguarding, coaching swimming, and doing two plays. I am extremely excited to go to college and am counting down the days.

What I learned?

This project has been a lot of fun, but also time consuming. With an intense schedule I found it difficult to find the time to sit and read the five books, study for tests, go to chem lab, and write annotated bibliographies. Even though it was difficult to do, I learned a great detail for the future. To begin with I had no idea what an annotated bibliography consisted of, infact no one in my salon group had an idea of what it was. Through trial and error and writing 80 entries, I soon learned and am a pro at writing these bibliographies. I also learned that through a diverse salon group you learn to read a variety of books that I would not have read on my own. Reading these diverse books I learned about different authors styles and tones. I enjoyed reading the five books and loved to listen to the salon groups point of view of the book
