SurLaLune
Fairy Tale Pages
Seventeen well-known childhood fairy
tales are presented with selected words annotated for their
symbolic meaning in the
art of
storytelling. Beautiful illustrations, colorful
history,
and many variants of the tales as they appear in numerous
cultures are portrayed. In addition, each tale provides a
small discussion of some of the better known treatments by
authors and
artists in the fields of literature, poetry, music,
film, and drama. Bibliographies available. This scholarly
work is still in progress by its creator, Heidi Anne Heiner,
but nonetheless conjures up vivid images of magical
