...were busy this past week with the casting of the winter one acts and a trip to Chicago to learn stage makeup techniques. The one acts are directed by ISU theatre education majors under the supervision of Suzie Thetard. This year there are four thirty-minute plays featuring twenty-two UHS student actors. They are busy rehearsing for their Dec. 4 & 5 performances at Metcalf’s Hayden Auditorium. The shows will be at 7 p.m. and are free with door donations going to WGLT radio. In addition, a group of USH theatre students traveled with Mrs. Thetard to Winnetka on Saturday for a day-long stage makeup class taught by Chicago theatre designer Nan Zabriskie. They learned basic makeup techniques, old age makeup, and scars and bruises. Madrigal Dinner tickets now on sale

The 23rd annual U-High Madrigal Dinners will be held this year on November 28 and 29th, at the St. Patrick's of Merna Shamrock Hall. Tickets are $15 for dinner performances and $8 for the dessert performance. Please see the attached form for performance times and ticket information.

there continues to be concern regarding students being sick and the diagnosis that follows the illness. Please see the attached article that gives further explanation to the diagnosis of H1N and if your student is home ill, please do not send them back to school until they have been fever free, with out medications, for 24 hours.
