The U-High Thespians-
...were busy this past week with the casting of the winter one acts and a trip to Chicago to learn stage makeup techniques. The one acts are directed by ISU theatre education majors under the supervision of Suzie Thetard. This year there are four thirty-minute plays featuring twenty-two UHS student actors. They are busy rehearsing for their Dec. 4 & 5 performances at Metcalf’s Hayden Auditorium. The shows will be at 7 p.m. and are free with door donations going to WGLT radio. In addition, a group of USH theatre students traveled with Mrs. Thetard to Winnetka on Saturday for a day-long stage makeup class taught by Chicago theatre designer Nan Zabriskie. They learned basic makeup techniques, old age makeup, and scars and bruises.
