Scholastic Bowl

Scholastic bowl is a competitive academic team activity governed by the Illinois High School Association.  Mr. Holbrook is the team sponsor and Varsity Coach, while the Frosh/Soph team is coached by Mrs. Pulley.  Tryouts are in the fall and practices are usually held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, late September through late March.  The Pioneer scholastic bowl team has a proud, winning tradition, having been to the state finals many times.   The Pioneers were 1999 Class A State Champions, in 2000 the Pioneers returned to the state championship match and we returned as runners up.   In 2001 we had another outstanding season but were eliminated in he Sectional championship by the eventual state champions, Warrensberg-Latham.
