The University High School Science Club is devoted to
providing a forum for students interested in discussing, exploring and celebrating
science. Membership is open to all students and meetings are held at least once a
month. Past activities include field trips to the Clinton Nuclear Power Plant,
FermiLab, and the Museum of Science and Industry. Club members also hosted an intimate
lecture and question and answer sessions with Nobel prize laureates, Murray Gell-Mann, who
first coined the the term "quark" and Leon Lederman, who discovered the bottom
quark and lead construction of the Tevatron at Fermilab.

The U-High Sci-Fi Film Fest, featuring flicks picked by
your own science faculty especially for you; shown on a big screen, complete with popcorn
and cartoon shorts.
A stargazing session featuring U-High's 10 inch
Newtonian reflecting telescope, and a visit to the ISU Planetarium.
Admission to chemistry and physics colloquia on the
Illinois State University Campus.
Free transportation to the Saturday Honors Physics
Lecture Series on the University of Illinois Campus.
