This course provides students with the analytical skills and factual knowledge to deal critically with the problems, issues, and materials in American History. It is the equivalent of a full-year college freshman survey course. Admission to the course depends on the student’s previous achievement and commitment to University High School Course Guide Social Science Courses serious study. The program of study covers the colonial period throughout the 1980’s. This course meets the graduation requirements of 1.0 credit in U.S. history and the Constitution tests, as well as offering the student the opportunity to earn 6-8 college credits.
