Course Overview
The goal of this class is to give you an introduction to the concepts and
technology that are used in the field of engineering.
Engineering has many different specialties,
such as mechanical engineering or civil engineering. In this class, we will
look at each of the major disciplines. You will learn about both the theory
and the hands-on skills for each discipline.
You also will have the chance to develop skills and safe habits with hand
tools and machine tools. There will be several large projects during the
year that will give you a chance to practice what you have learned.
This course is a prerequisite for many other technology
courses, including Principles of Technology and Electronics. |
