   Care

Ground covers are low-growing plants used in landscaping for mulching or covering

the soil. Ground covers are low growing. They can get from 2 inches up to almost 4 feet

tall.  Ground covers differ in color, texture and form and can be herbaceous, woody,

succulent or grassy. Some have attractive flowers, while others are grown only for their

 foliage.

Ground Covers are easy to maintain and are very attractive. Ground covers are a

gardener's delight. Once established they practically take care of themselves. You can

choose varieties to grow in conditions ranging from deep shade to bright sun, from poor,

sandy soil to perfectly prepared garden soil.

Ground Covers have many uses. Many are to stop erosion.  Others may

be just for decretory reasons.  They also take the place of harmful weeds and bacteria.

The right time to plant is early fall.  The covers have time to set in the

soil and bloom or grow in the spring.  You have to plant them at the correct

soil amount (8 - 10 inches) to receive maximum growth.
