Sour Cranberries

Cranberries are a wetland fruit that grows on vines.

Cranberries grow in bogs.

Sand helps the vines grow faster so they spread an inch or two on the bogs every three years.

Sand also slows the growth of weeds and insects.

The vines need an inch of water a week to grow.

Water protects the cranberries from frost and hot weather.
