Computer ethics are rules of conduct that have developed over time by experienced and conscientious users. People do not start with their ethics intact. Ethics are learned from direct experience and through others. This site discusses various topics such as on-line safety, netiquette, appropriate use of computers, and computer issues such as copyright, privacy, and censorship. Through studying these topics, it is hoped that an improved understanding of the ethical and safe use of computers and the Internet will be achieved.
